What is DTF?

DTF stands for "Direct to Film". It is a relatively new digital printing technique that is gaining popularity in the textile industry.

How does it work?
Printing: The desired design is printed on a special film using DTF inks.
Powder application: An adhesive powder is applied over the printed ink.
Curing: The film is cured with heat to set the powder and ink.
Transfer: The image is transferred from the film to the fabric using heat and pressure.

What are the advantages of DTF?
Versatility: It can be used on a wide variety of fabrics, both cotton and synthetic, and in different colors.
Quality: It offers high-quality prints with vivid colors and sharp details.
Durability: DTF prints are long-lasting and wash-resistant.
Easy application: The transfer process is relatively simple and fast.

How durable is DTF?
The durability of DTF prints is one of its main advantages. They can last up to 50 washes or more if proper care recommendations are followed:
- Wash the garment inside out.
- Do not use bleach or other harsh chemicals.
- Wash at a low temperature (maximum 30°C).
- Do not iron the print directly.
DTF prints are generally considered to have a similar or even superior durability to other textile printing techniques such as screen printing or transfer printing.
